Meatloaf Is NOT Turkey...

Well, if that headline is any clue, you'll have rightly guessed that I didn't get to have turkey this Thanksgiving. Nope. We had meatloaf. And rice. Not even mashed potatoes. I think I might be slightly traumatized by this. I did get to spend time with my 4 year old nephew which I love. He just got back two weeks ago from a trip to Saskatchewan and told me his favorite thing was laying in the grass and looking up in the sky at the "Milky Waves".


Girls night wasn't quite as eventful as last time but still contained some funny stuff:

• "If you bring your bike to bed, I'm bringing my squirrel!"


• "Did you just say Eskimo? Well, it makes sense. There was an Eskimo in the road."


• "You guys, I'm tipsy. Yay!"

Then I pretty much did nothing for the rest of my weekend due to that stupid fire drill. I'm still recovering. How sick is that? I refuse from now on to go down those stairs unless I can visibly see fire. Cause then it will be worth it.

Oh, The Humanity...

I work on the 28th floor of an office building. We had a fire drill yesterday. That means that everyone has to take the stairs all the way down. There are 2 flights per floor. So, basically, I walked down 56 flights of stairs in 6 1/2 minutes.

Now, normally I wouldn't complain about an extra break in the day from work, but I actually think I might be dying. My legs a refusing to hold me in a standing position today or even attempt forward motion. This is not even the worst part. The worst part is, I have to pee and I don't think that I will be able to get back up once I'm in there. I'm a little scared.

Blogging Is Hard (For Me Anyways)...

Well, I haven't added anything on here in a while. Sorry. Life's been boring and I just feel blah about writing about it. So, just to keep people happy, here's some stuff:

I'm looking forward to girls' night on Friday and I'm hoping that it has some funny shit for me to write about cause nothing has been happening lately. We're trying to have a girl's night at least once a month. We had one last month that was too funny and we may not be able to go back to that Cactus Club again. I'm hoping that A. has a few doubles and mishears things to hilarious consequences ("Umm, did that waitress just whisper 'taliban' to you?"). Not to mention that the last time was DD without any drinks and look where that dirty conversation went. Let's just say that the waitress suggested that we should have some water.

I'll be having more that one of these.

I'm also looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. My mom makes the best Thanksgiving dinner. It's the only thing, besides Halloween, that I like about fall. I miss the warm weather already.

Also, long weekend! Extra long for me because I took Friday off, too. Sigh. I need it.

My Computer Hates Me...

Well, since my computer at home has decided to stubbornly pick and choose when to work I am stuck blogging at work (Ha! Take that corporate soul-suckers!). I 've been fairly busy lately with work and planning for my friend DD's birthday that I haven't had anything to add here. Sad. I can't write any of the plans here yet cause she reads this, but I will update on Monday. And maybe when I figure out what is wrong with my computer I'll add some pictures.
